Fixing common Noor problems
The six issues parents report most often and exactly how to fix each one — without calling the Ministry.
This guide covers the most common issues parents encounter with Noor: the page not loading, Nafath approval not arriving, being told your account doesn't exist, and blank grades. For problems that need Ministry staff to investigate, Noor has a built-in Technical Support (الدعم الفني) section where you can file a technical report (بلاغ تقني) or a non-technical report (بلاغ غير تقني) and track its status.
Step-by-step
- 01
The Noor page doesn't load at all
Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Del) and try again. If you're on a VPN, disconnect it — the Ministry blocks non-Saudi IPs on some services. Try the URL directly: noor.moe.gov.sa.
- 02
The Nafath approval never arrives in the app
Open the Nafath app and pull-to-refresh the home screen — push notifications sometimes lag. If the request isn't there, click "Resend" on Noor. If Nafath repeatedly fails, check that notifications are enabled for the Nafath app in your phone's settings, and that your Saudi mobile number in Absher is up to date.
- 03
Noor says "user not found" after Nafath
Nafath authenticated you but Noor can't find a parent profile linked to your national ID. Either you are not yet listed as a registered guardian on any child's profile, or the school deactivated the guardian link. Contact your child's school administration and ask them to verify or restore the guardian link in Noor.
- 04
A child is missing from the dashboard
Only children whose school has linked your national ID as guardian appear on your dashboard. If a child is missing, ask the school's administrative office to add you as guardian (ربط ولي الأمر) in the system. This is done by the school's Noor operator, not by parents.
- 05
Grades are blank or show zero
A zero or blank usually means the school hasn't entered the grade yet, not that your child failed. Schools have 48 hours after official term end to enter grades. Contact the academic office at the school to confirm. Neither parents nor the Ministry can enter grades on the school's behalf.
- 06
File a technical report via the built-in support
For any persistent technical problem, sign in to Noor and click "Technical Support" (الدعم الفني) on the dashboard. Choose "Add Technical Report" (إضافة بلاغ تقني) for system bugs, or "Add Non-Technical Report" (إضافة بلاغ غير تقني) for procedural issues. You can track your filed reports under "Follow Up Reports" (متابعة البلاغات). For urgent issues, call the Awn support centre on 19996.
Useful tips
- Noor works best on Chrome, Edge, and Safari. Firefox sometimes has rendering quirks on the report screens.
- On mobile, the Noor app is more reliable than the mobile web view — install it from the App Store or Google Play for free.
- For account-specific problems, the Awn (عون) support line at 19996 is the official Ministry channel — open Sunday to Thursday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
